Where Do The Dogs Stay?
All dogs traveling with us stay with us. They get to sleep on the bed in the hotels (some times they even get their own bed!) and enjoy lots of TLC and play time. They are taken out for frequent potty breaks, both at the show site, on the road, and at the hotel. Dogs are never left at the show site or in a van. They are with me so I can be sure everyone is happy and safe.
Shows are fun but they are also loud and over stimulating, and many dogs stress in that environment. Everyone, dogs and people alike, need a break and a chance to rest and reboot after a long day, and relaxing in the hotel room is just what they need. It also allows the dog and I to get to know each other and form a bond, so that the dog will feel safe with me and happier to be away from home with a familiar friendly face.
Our dogs all travel in our 2012 Chevy Express Passenger Van, with tons of rear heat and A/C to keep them cool in the summers and warm in winters. Each dog is crated in an appropriatly sized crate with soft bedding, water, and safely secured.
